The range is \(90 < x < 180\) and my answer is 0.6. For it to be correct, should it be positive or negative?

It doesn't matter. It can't be correct either way.
The range says that 'x' is a number between 90 and 180.
Neither -0.6 nor +0.6 is between 90 and 180.

do you mean like are the numbers positive or negative?
It is more than 90 and less than 180 so the two numbers could be 96 x 0.00625

The answer of 0.6 is not correct as it falls outside the range 90 < x < 180 . Neither +0.6 nor -0.6 fits this range. Thus, the answer cannot be positive or negative as both variations are invalid.
