What is the definition of the associative property of multiplication in your own words? Explain how you would use it to compute [tex]4 \times 25 \times 27[/tex] mentally.

The associative property is switching the parenthesis of an expression to make solving it easier like (a × b)×c= a ×(b×c). I would do (25×4)×27 because its easily multiplied because 25×4=100 and from then you could easily multiple 27×100.
Hope this helped

24x4=100 and multiple 27x100 =2,700

The associative property of multiplication allows you to regroup numbers in a multiplication problem without changing the product. For the expression 4 × 25 × 27 , you can first calculate 4 × 25 to get 100, and then multiply that by 27 to get 2700. This method simplifies mental math by breaking it into easier steps.
