If you have a square, then
-- Its area is the SQUARE of the length of its side, and
-- The length of its side is the SQUARE ROOT of its area.
That's where these numbers got the names ' square ' and ' square root '.

If we know that area of a square is A = a 2 ,
where a is one side applying square roots we can find side knowing the area a= A where A is area of a square. Its the relationship between square roots and area of a square.

Square roots are connected to the area of a square as the area is the square of the side length, while the side length can be found using the square root of the area. If the side length is a , then the area is a 2 , and the side length can be found by A . Thus, square roots and area are directly related in the context of squares.
