Really ! Why do you let math scare you like that ? ?
How about this: (4 cows) - (5 cows) + (6 cows)
I'll bet you have no problem seeing that it's 5 cows .
So why do you totally clutch when they're just C's instead of cows ? ?

The expression 4 c − 5 c + 6 c simplifies to 5 c by combining the like terms together. We first found the result of 4 c − 5 c and then added 6 c . Therefore, the final answer is 5 c .
