How do I find \( p \) in the equation \(\frac{5}{7}p - \frac{2}{7} + 12 = 6\)?

Asked by karamia

Answer (2)

first multiply everything by 7 so you get 5p-2+84=42 THEN put -2 and 84 together to get 82 so now you have 5p+82=42 and subtract 82 to get 5p=-40 and divide by 5 to get p=-8

To find p in the equation 7 5 p − 7 2 + 12 = 6 , first isolate p by rearranging the equation. After simplifying, we find that p = − 8 .
